suddenly i realise, that i THOUGHT i had seen it all, i THOUGHT i'd gotten over it, i THOUGHT i'd put the past behind me. i thought wrong.

why does such news still affect me so much? because i don't hear my laughter amongst others? because i don't see myself smile anymore? because i don't.... belong?

apparently i haven't gotten over it enough, to not fall backwards when the stroke of the cane falls again.
